Celebrity Waiter dinner was a success! The United Way of Humboldt County held their annual celebrity waiter dinner at the Baywood Golf & Country Club on October 21, 2006. A great time was had by all. Here are some of the memories of people and volunteers who attended
September 15th kicked off our 2007 Campaign with Day of Caring! The 14th year of Day of Caring throughout Humboldt County had over 400 volunteers participate and 30 separate projects. Many work sites throughout the county included, but not were not limited...the Arcata House, California State Parks, Catholic Charities, Eureka Adult Day Health Services, Food for People, Friends of the Dunes, HSU Natural History Museum, Humboldt Domestic Violence Services, and United Indian Health Services. A memorable project was the construction of a World Shelter. Thank you so much to all who volunteered and worked on designated projects throughout Humboldt County. We are looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces at the Day of Caring 2008 on September 20, 2008! Don’t forget to join us for the barbeque at Sequoia Park and hosted by the Kiwanis Club following all your hard work! |
